About Us

Chibi☆Con was started by two broke college students looking for something to do. (besides study..) Being the convention veterans they are, they decided to start their own venture in the world of managing an Anime convention. They wanted to start off small in the local library's tiny conference area, which is why the name Chibi☆Con came about. (Chibi = A cute way to say 'small' in Japanese)
Why the star in CHIBI CON? Because it made it look cooler-- *ahem* I mean it represents our 'shine'. Though we are a small convention, we want to be remembered as that small little awesome convention you attended the other day. :)

Chibi☆Con is an all volunteer, fan-run event located in Virginia Beach, VA.
Brought to you by fans for fans. We promote Japanese animation(Anime) and Asian culture. We provide a variety of Anime related activities, screenings, fan panels, guests, concerts, and more for all our attendees to enjoy.
